There are scores of professional teaching material in the hands of capable people that does not get justified or acknowledged for it's worth.
Many people, gifted in teaching, has developed outstanding courses but do not have the means or the chance to get their teaching material accredited. These courses are stored away in their drawers or bookshelves and henceforth people are being robbed of good educational material and chances to be educated in a wide variety of disciplines.
ISCAA is here to play a supportive role in the education of people in the world by:
- Giving all short course developers a chance to have their teaching material recognised
- Establishing an accreditation association with integrity that supports education for all
- Giving fair and unbiased recognition through proper assessment
- Allowing more people to take part in the education process
ISCAA can only fulfill its purpose with people that have integrity, that are dedicated and inspired.
ISCAA is the association of short course developers, assessing and recognising the courses of peer developers. Developers of short courses work together to give accreditation to each other's work. Through the association, courses are then recognised and accredited by leading course developers internationally. This way ISCAA builds a reputation as an association that promotes quality educational material.
All course developers want their work to be recognised. ISCAA recognizes the need for INDEPENDENT accreditation of a high standard that would serve the need for recognition in the short course sector.
Some developers are new and others have years of experience being part of universities or other places of education where they played an important role in the development of sound, quality and outcomebased material. Being part of this association means that new developers can learn from the masters as they progress to become a master themselves.
Of course there has to be criteria that any course needs to comply with before it can be accredited by the association. Standards used to evaluate would be those set down by international educational bodies, agreed upon by the members of the association.
ISCAA does not take part or set up any lectures, sell courses or promote specific courses. All of these activities are undertaken by the course developer self or his appointees. Queries from the public on specific courses will be answered by referring them to the course developers or their appointees.
